American Natural Premium (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a family business in Grafton, Wisconsin. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit americannaturalpremium.com (the “Site”), shop with us, or contact us, and how we use and protect it. We’ve tried to keep it plain and honest.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Orders: name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and what you bought.
- Account: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
- Messages: anything you send us through our contact form, email or phone, including details about your dog.
- Email sign-ups: your email address and preferences if you join our newsletter.
- Run-out reminders: if you ask for a “run-out heads-up” on a product page, your email address, the product and the timing you chose, so we can remind you before your bag runs out.
- Reviews: if you leave a review, your name, rating and comments.
Payment information
Payments are processed by WooPayments (powered by Stripe), including Apple Pay and Google Pay where available. Your full card number goes directly to the payment processor; we don’t store it on our Site.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and actions like adding to cart or completing a purchase, using cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see Cookies and similar technologies).
How we use your information
- To process, ship and support your orders, including sending order and shipping updates.
- To answer your questions and handle guarantee claims.
- To send emails you signed up for, including newsletters and run-out reminders. You can unsubscribe any time.
- To ask for and display reviews.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
- To measure and improve our advertising.
- To prevent fraud, keep the Site secure, and comply with the law.
Who we share it with
We share information only with companies that help us run our business, and when required by law. These include:
- Payments: WooPayments / Stripe (and Apple Pay or Google Pay if you use them).
- Shipping: UPS, to deliver your order.
- Store platform and hosting: WooCommerce / WordPress and our website host.
- Email: Mailchimp, for newsletters and reminder emails.
- Reviews: Birdeye, and Google Customer Reviews, which may email you a short survey after your purchase if you opt in at checkout.
- Analytics and advertising: Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect our rights, customers or others.
- Business transfers: if our business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
Targeted advertising and “do not sell or share”
We don’t sell your personal information for money, and we never have. We do use advertising tools from Google and Meta that set cookies and pixels on the Site so we can measure our ads and show them to people who may be interested. Some state privacy laws call that kind of advertising a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, even when no money changes hands.
If you’d rather we didn’t, just tell us. Email alex@americannaturalpremium.com with “Do not sell or share” in the subject line, or call (262) 376-5390, and we’ll opt your information out of targeted advertising. We honor these requests from anyone who asks, wherever you live, and we won’t charge you more or give you worse service for asking.
We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends one, we treat it as an opt-out request for that browser. Older browser “Do Not Track” signals work differently and have no agreed standard, so we don’t respond to them.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use:
- Essential cookies to run the cart, checkout, login and security. The Site doesn’t work without them.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager) to understand visits and improve the Site.
- Advertising cookies and pixels (Google Ads and Meta Pixel) to measure our ads and show our ads to people who may be interested.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the Site (like the cart) may stop working. You can also limit ads through Google Ad Settings, Meta ad preferences, and the Digital Advertising Alliance. Google Analytics offers an opt-out browser add-on. Emails and phone calls
We only send marketing emails if you sign up. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Even after you unsubscribe, we’ll still send emails about your orders, like a confirmation and tracking number.
If you give us your phone number, we use it to reach you about your order or a guarantee claim, by call or text. That’s all. We don’t run text-message marketing and we won’t add your number to a marketing list.
How long we keep information
- Order records: 7 years, for tax and accounting.
- Email subscribers and run-out reminders: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information.
- Contact-form messages and emails: as long as we need them to help you and keep a record of what we agreed, then we delete them.
- Account information: until you close your account or ask us to delete it.
Sometimes the law requires us to keep something longer. When it does, we keep it and nothing more.
How we protect it
Our Site uses encryption (HTTPS), and payments are handled by a PCI-compliant processor. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you,
- correct something that’s wrong,
- delete your information,
- send you a copy of it,
- stop marketing emails, or
- opt out of targeted advertising.

We answer within 45 days, and we’ll tell you if we need longer. Someone you authorize can make a request on your behalf. We won’t treat you differently for asking, and you can appeal a decision by replying to our answer.
Children
Our Site is meant for adults shopping for their dogs. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Other websites
Our Site links to other sites (like social media and pet store pages). Their privacy practices are their own.
Where we operate
We’re based in the United States and ship only within the lower 48 states. Information is stored and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. For significant changes we’ll post a notice on the Site, and we’ll email customers and subscribers whose addresses we have.
